175 MM dollar community bank lost a commercial loan officer and needed to fill a vacancy and have a qualified commercial loan officer assume responsibility for a 20+ mm portfolio. The ideal fit was someone with local contacts who could not only manage the current book but also bring additional relationships to the bank. We were able to locate a qualified commercial loan officer with 15 years of experience who was located no more than 15 miles from the desired branch. We helped our bank fill their vacancy within 30 days.

Summary Development of commercial real estate, C&I and business, and depository opportunities & relationships. Managing those opportunities & relationships under the highest credit standards in a make-sense lending, pro-business environment. Incumbent must be able to self-manage work and responsibilities within an otherwise collaborative and collegial environment, and adhere to bank credit policies and procedures while performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Meets agreed upon new money production goals within the context of a credit quality conscious environment.

Identifies and develops business opportunities and relationships in the Bank’s branch trade areas through ongoing marketing activities in calling, networking, and making in-person appointments.

Learns Bank’s existing market areas, focus, and lending programs.Generates business in those market areas using Bank’s lending programs.Identifies new clients, further potential lending opportunities, and approaches for Bank aimed at generating business.

Understanding specific, local real estate markets while applying fundamental lending and credit best practices in generating business.

Understanding and solving challenges and issues in providing lending solutions to clients.

Collects financial information, communicates with loan applicants and credit administration in ensuring loans are approved, booked, and funded in a proper and timely manner.

Maximizes respective portfolio profitability growth by focusing on value add relationships and transactions.

Maintains respective existing customer real estate lending portfolio with a high degree of professional service. Provides product expertise, finds solutions to customer needs, and responds to customer inquiries.

Ensures management of portfolio complies with Bank’s credit policies and procedures. Acceptable risk asset reviews. No loan write-offs.

Assists with staff training when needed, product enhancement/positioning, operational requirements.

Conducts cross selling of an array of Bank products.

Other duties may be assigned.
